Postdoctoral Researcher
Yuki Haba

Yuki is interested in understanding the genetic and neural bases of behavioral evolution. Yuki completed his PhD in 2023 at Princeton University as a Centennial Fellow and a Masason Fellow. For his dissertation, Yuki worked with Lindy McBride on the evolutionary genomics of behavioral ecotypes in Culex pipiens mosquitoes. Before Princeton, Yuki completed his undergraduate degree at University of Tokyo and MA at Columbia University. In the Hoekstra lab, he is excited to be exploring why and how behavior evolves in the wild. Outside work, Yuki is probably playing soccer, listening to jazz, or eating ramen.
